Nicole Montero - a.k.a. Nikki - is likely one of the most fun people you will ever meet in the shemale porn industry. Blessed with a pretty fresh face and long dark hair, a svelte body, and a winning smile, 27 year-old Chilean-born Nikki now lives and works in Sao Paulo, Brazil. She is sassy, smart, and spunky; and not afraid to give convention the finger when it gets in her way. Eros Zine caught up with Nicole Montero recently, to learn more about her and her many, many projects: Eros Zine: How did you discover that you were a transsexual? Nicole Montero: It was during my childhood. Of course, you don't know about being a transsexual when you are young. You don't even know what a transsexual is. But you discover that you are into female interests, like make-up and clothes, dresses and stuff.
Eros Zine: When did you transition? Nicole Montero: It was when I was 18 years old, which is later than normal for Brazilian trannies. I started taking hormone shots, and my body started to change - very slowly; hormones are not a miracle drug. To help it along, I started taking care of my body, going to the gym and working out, and eating healthy. All that helps to get a better figure, and well after my 18th birthday, I become a girl! Eros Zine: How did you get into the adult business? Nicole Montero: It was in about 2000. In 1998, I started a free Geocities website. Later I had two web sites and in 2000 I started changing my free (made for fun) links, for referral links to a friend's program. I added links to some dialers too and I start making some few, slow but cool/hot money for that time! Eros Zine: And you now have a few web sites of your own? Nicole Montero: Well, I started with www.shemalechix.com, my first baby site, with the dead billing processor "Lancelot Security". After that I changed it to "Glo-bill", which was also a dead processor. As a result, my baby site never grew too much, because my billing system wasn't working. Then I created www.tsladies.com and after that, my biggest site, www.latinatranny.com, which has grown very fast. It is now my best seller. We still have it in mind to work on my other smaller sites, to make them live again. Eros Zine: Do you also produce and appear in videos? Nicole Montero: Yes, I do both, but production is my main occupation, with maintaining my web sites too, of course. I appear from time to time in videos too, but only with females and shemales. I don't perform with men on camera.
Now I am bisexual: I like women, men and trannies too, of course! But I don't want to see myself ending up in some promo gallery being distributed all over the Internet, getting a cock in my ass. It's just a personal thing. I know that this will annoy some t-girls if they are reading this interview. Some girls just are proud to be girls and getting fucked on camera, but that is not my case. Eros Zine: Is it difficult, performing on camera? Nicole Montero: Not really. For some performers it is, but I never had a problem performing. I have a good tool down there, and I have never had a problem with it! (She laughs.) So working in front of the camera is very easy, and I love it! Eros Zine: You also have a band called Edonis; tell us about it. Nicole Montero: Yes! In fact, at this exact moment while I doing this interview, I am also arranging a new gig with my band in Santiago and in Valparaiso too (both cities in Chile). We recorded a CD with a very cool producer and the album kicks ass, I think! You can take a look at it at www.cdbaby.com/cd/edonis, and at www.myspace.com/edonisedonis. We play in a rock/pop style; it's very cool! Thanks to being in the adult industry, more people now know I have a band and know the music through the myspace page, but they live mostly in the U.S.A. and Europe. Ironically, as a band, we only play gigs in Chile, and none of our live audience comes from the adult industry.
Nicole Montero: The funniest thing is a little dirty, but it has happened two times now. The girl is sucking my cock and I always tell her to 'swallow it; come on, swallow it bitch, all of it!!" Well, the girl swallows and twice it has resulted in her throwing up all her breakfast in front of the camera! Yuck! The other funny thing is that there are some crazy girls out there. We used to shoot some short outdoors scenes just as an introduction; sometimes in the middle of the street with people and cars around. Sometimes, when the camera is on, I ask passerbys to "show me your butt!!" . Well, some girls actually take their pants or skirts off, and they show me their asses! And I say "OMG!! Letīs get out of here!" Eros Zine: Overall, what are the best parts of being in the adult industry, and the worst? Nicole Montero: The best is the fun, the porn - yes I enjoy watching! -- and the money. The worst is absolutely the time you need to spend in this biz. I work seven days a week between shooting and maintaining/updating and working in the websites, promotion, tgps, galleries, et cetera, et cetera. But mostly it's the shooting. I am getting a little sick of it, working with every day with spoiled models. These are the "famous porn stars", the older models who have already made zillions of movies for websites and DVDs. They know they have fans, they know that their members love them, and then they become bitches. Personally I always try to avoid them. I don't need more drama in my life, dealing with these spoiled sluts all the time. No thanks! And besides, there is a huge line of new girls waiting to break into porn.
Eros Zine: What are some of the most interesting things that have happened to you since you joined the industry? Nicole Montero: Meeting lots of people working in the same industry; when you are young, you can't imagine how many people are working doing porn. I've met incredible people in some conventions in Buenos Aires and Amsterdam who are very nice and polite, and just too much fun! Iīve been in the industry for such a long time now, I have met lots of good people on the webmaster boards and in real life at some adult conventions. That is good because I do my best to show them that I am an honest person, and cool as well! (She laughs.) Eros Zine: Is it easy to find love when you are an adult star? Nicole Montero: Well, no; I haven't had that kind of luck yet. Believe it or not, in South America there is the same bias as there is in the US about being in the adult industry. I have lost lots of friends because of this, but they can go to hell; that is for sure! So love is hard to find. Eros Zine: What are your future goals? Nicole Montero: Well, to open a new site; maybe different than Brazilian/South American trannies, maybe a ladyboy one. Producing DVDs is on my mind too, but I still dunno how to start! Eros Zine: Working seven days a week, and dealing with prima donnas. Are you still having fun? Nicole Montero: Yes I do! When I am not shooting, I do have fun all the rest of the week. It's not because I don't enjoy shooting, but working on set is a really fucked-up job, very stressful and tiring. But well, no one said life in porn was easy. It's a dirty job, but someone has to do it!
